Job summary

AmeriLux Family of Companies is seeking a seasoned Production Department Leader to drive daily output, safety, and quality. You will own staffing, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives while guiding a team to meet schedule and cost targets.

Ideal candidates have prior experience managing a manufacturing department, a strong grasp of OSHA standards, and proven results in safety, quality, and cost metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a production or manufacturing department with direct people management.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and safety program ownership.
• Experience with safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production output against schedule and demand.
• Ensure safety on the floor per OSHA requirements and incident response.
• Maintain product quality and manage scrap or rework rates.
• Plan labor, staffing levels, and overtime; supervise and coach the production team.
• Manage department budget, cost per unit, and equipment uptime.
• Drive continuous improvement of process, layout, and throughput.

• Direct supervision, coaching, and performance management of the production team
• Department budget, cost per unit, and equipment uptime
• Continuous improvement of process, layout, and throughput
