Job summary

Hudson Manpower Inc. seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing at a dual-site facility in Reidsville, NC and Cherokee, IA, focusing on Ready-to-Eat and further-processing operations.

The role emphasizes food safety, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and leadership of multiple shifts; relocation is possible and a discretionary bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in meat food manufacturing or related environment.
• Experience leading plant or operations teams in high-volume production.
• Experience with RTE and/or further-processing operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of USDA/FSIS and food safety requirements.
• Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety programs.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive accountability.
• Experience improving manufacturing performance, productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing and plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production.
• Provide leadership to production and operations teams across multiple shifts.
• Drive performance, productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Quality, Food Safety, Maintenance, Supply Chain to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with USDA/FSIS, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong food safety and sanitation standards and monitoring.
• Develop, coach, and manage plant leadership and production teams.
• Monitor metrics and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Establish operating procedures and performance standards.
• Support workforce planning, staffing, training, and development.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy and improvements.
• Maintain culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
