Job summary

N3B Los Alamos seeks a seasoned Work Operations Manager to oversee water programs, soil remediation and waste operations at LANL. The role emphasizes planning support, work authorization, project coordination and safe day-to-day operations.

You will lead complex environmental remediation projects, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, coordinate with Facility Operations Directors, and mentor junior staff while maintaining schedules and resource availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree plus 5–8 years experience; combination acceptable.
• Extensive knowledge of Conduct of Operations in construction or facility operations.
• Ability to lead large projects and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct complex engineering and remediation projects.
• Ensure subcontractor schedules, specs and drawings meet requirements.
• Review and approve Integrated Work Control Documents.
• Authorize work through ER Plan of the Day and Shift Orders.
• Complete field observations and reporting.
• Coordinate work with Facility Operations Directors.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
