The Security Operations Center (SOC) Shift Lead reports directly to the Lead of Defensive Cyber Operations. In addition to core SOC analyst duties, the SOC Shift Lead is accountable for the shift's operations, communication, and team morale. They ensure SOPs and work instructions are followed, tickets are completed, and outstanding tasks are handed over efficiently.

The SOC Shift Lead manages task distribution, understands team skillsets and gaps, and supports training and mentorship to foster career growth.

What You'll Get to Do:

• Execute core duties as a SOC Analyst.
• Conduct shift turnover at shift start and end.
• Complete and send the Shift Activity Log.
• Maintain appropriate staffing coverage.
• Manage time-off requests.
• Monitor operational status of cybersecurity tools and data feeds, notifying stakeholders of any degradation.
• Receive and respond to communications via various mediums.
• Review analysis and documentation for ticket accuracy and completeness.
• Provide feedback for mentorship and growth opportunities.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• DoD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II and CSSP Analyst certifications.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Ability to work one of five shifts.
• Ability to obtain a CI Poly within 6 months.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience as a Lead.
• IAT Level III certifications.
• Understanding of adversarial tactics and techniques in cyber defense.
