Job summary

Shine Facility Services is seeking an Operations / Janitorial Supervisor to coordinate staffing coverage, client communication, and day-to-day office operations. This is a hands-on coordination role, not a cleaning position, and you will ensure sites are covered when team members are out and replacements know what to do.

We are looking for a strong leader with long-term ambition, with the goal of promoting you to the next Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial, facilities, or operations supervision.
• Strong communication skills with staff and clients.
• Organized, reliable, and calm under pressure when plans change.
• Comfortable with basic computer work: email, scheduling, and spreadsheets.
• Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at the office daily to check call-offs and schedule coverage.
• Drive to client sites to meet coverage staff and train replacements.
• Conduct hiring interviews and assist with recruiting.
• Manage the office and day-to-day coordination: scheduling, calls, emails, records.
• Meet with clients in person to build relationships and review service.
• Respond quickly to client requests and concerns.
• Communicate with managers about staffing and client feedback.

You'll be the go-to person for staffing coverage, client communication, and day-to-day office coordination. When a team member calls out, you make sure the site is covered and the replacement knows exactly what to do. We are looking for a true leader with long-term ambition; our explicit goal is to train and promote this individual to become our next Manager

About the role

Shine Facility Services is hiring an Operations / Janitorial Supervisor to keep our SF Bay area accounts running smoothly. This is a hands-on coordination role, not a cleaning role. You'll be the go-to person for staffing coverage, client communication, and day-to-day office coordination. When a team member calls out, you make sure the site is covered and the replacement knows exactly what to do. What you'll do

• Arrive at the office daily at 7:00 AM to immediately check call-offs and find/schedule coverage for sick calls and last-minute call-outs.
• Drive to client sites if needed to meet coverage staff and train the sick call replacement, walking them through the site, tasks, and expectations.
• Conduct hiring interviews and assist with recruiting to ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Manage the office and handle day-to-day coordination: scheduling, phone calls, emails, and keeping records up to date.
• Meet with clients in person to build relationships and review service.
• Respond quickly and professionally to client requests, questions, and concerns.
• Communicate with managers about staffing, site issues, and client feedback

What we're looking for

• Experience in janitorial, facilities, or operations supervision (preferred)
• Strong communication skills with both staff and clients
• Organized, reliable, and calm under pressure when plans change fast

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
