Job summary

ZP Better Together, LLC. is seeking an Operations Interpreter Recruiter to join our remote-friendly team.

You will work with leadership to determine staffing for call centers and onsite locations, and you’ll screen, interview, and hire interpreters across multiple sites. Ideal candidates have 3+ years as a professional sign language interpreter, a solid grasp of Deaf Culture, strong writing and reporting skills, plus HR hiring knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3 years working as a professional sign language interpreter in varied settings; 5 years preferred.
• Strong understanding of Deaf Culture.
• Proficient writing and reporting skills; able to communicate effectively.
• Experience with Windows, XP and MS Office; VRS call center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen, interview, and hire interpreters; determine staffing needs for call centers and onsite locations.
• Maintain database of interpreter contacts and applications.
• Track and document interpreter applications throughout the hiring process.
• Recruit at trade shows and conventions; staff remote locations as needed; travel may be required.
• Plan and execute recruiting events and present at sites, trade shows, and events.
• Work varied schedules, including weekends as dictated by business needs.

Summary of Duties:

Working closely with the Senior Director of Operations, Interpreter Recruiting Manager and Call Center Management, the interpreter recruiter will determine staffing needs of Call Centers and onsite customers and will be fully involved in the screening, interviewing, and hiring of all interpreters.

Interpreter Recruiter Job Responsibilities:

• Communicating with applicants in all phases of the hiring process for all open positions
• Maintaining a database of interpreter contacts and status notes using the applicable software.
• Tracking and documenting interpreter applications throughout the hiring process
• Contacting potential interpreters who have not previously submitted applications (i.e. cold contacts) in specific locations in order to staff call center and remote locations
• Traveling to trade shows and conventions for recruitment may be required occasionally
• Planning and executing recruiting events and initiatives
• Giving oral presentations on sites, trade shows, and recruiting events to further recruiting potential.
• Work a variety of schedules, including weekends as dictated by business needs
• Performing other related duties and/or special projects as required

Interpreter Recruiter Skills/Qualifications:

• 3 years working as a professional sign language interpreter in a variety of settings (5 years preferred).
• Possesses a strong understanding of Deaf Culture.
• Demonstrated people management and communication skills
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Knowledge of HR hiring practices.
• Proficient writing and reporting skills.
• Experience with Windows, XP Operating Systems and MS Office.
• Experience working in a video relay call center as an interpreter, preferred.

Work environment:

Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time.

• Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)
• Keyboarding (40-60%)
• Viewing computer monitor, videophone, and cell phone (40-60%)
• Lifting computers and other equipment.
• Position may require some travel.
