Job summary

ZP Better Together is expanding its operations and seeking an Operations Interpreter Recruiter to partner with leadership to staff call centers and onsite locations. You will screen, interview, and hire interpreters, maintaining candidate pipelines and coordinating outreach activities.

The role requires experience in sign language interpretation, strong HR awareness, writing, and collaboration across teams, with occasional travel for events and trade shows.

Qualifications

• 3 years working as a professional sign language interpreter in a variety of settings (5 years preferred).
• Possesses a strong understanding of Deaf Culture.
• Demonstrated people management and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Knowledge of HR hiring practices.
• Proficient writing and reporting skills.
• Experience with Windows, XP Operating Systems and MS Office.
• Experience working in a video relay call center as an interpreter, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with applicants in all phases of the hiring process for all open positions
• Maintaining a database of interpreter contacts and status notes using the applicable software.
• Tracking and documenting interpreter applications throughout the hiring process
• Contacting potential interpreters who have not previously submitted applications (i.e. cold contacts) in specific locations in order to staff call center and remote locations
• Traveling to trade shows and conventions for recruitment may be required occasionally
• Planning and executing recruiting events and initiatives
• Giving oral presentations on sites, trade shows, and recruiting events to further recruiting potential.
• Work a variety of schedules, including weekends as dictated by business needs
• Performing other related duties and/or special projects as required

Summary of Duties:

Working closely with the Senior Director of Operations, Interpreter Recruiting Manager and Call Center Management, the interpreter recruiter will determine staffing needs of Call Centers and onsite customers and will be fully involved in the screening, interviewing, and hiring of all interpreters.
