J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Lansing, MI is offering an Operations Internship for May 2027. This part-time role provides exposure to transportation management principles and hands-on experience in daily logistics tasks.

The intern will assist with planing freight, asset utilization, safety and DOT compliance, driver payroll, and analytics, gaining a broad view of operations within a leading logistics provider.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program OR graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited community college, college or university.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives

• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Junior or Senior level preferred

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $15 - $24.50 a hour.

This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
