Job summary

Cencora is offering a 10-week Operations Intern program at the Romeoville, IL Distribution Center. You will gain real-world exposure to supply chain functions, work closely with a mentor, and present key learnings to leadership at program end.

The experience is designed to develop future leaders within a fast-growing organization. Interns will rotate across departments, participate in trainings, and be expected to support flexible scheduling across shifts.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Operations/Logistics, Organizational Leadership or Business Management.
• Graduation with bachelor's degree within one year of internship completion.
• Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of various supply chain functions and disciplines.
• Build affiliation with hourly team members, peers and leadership.
• Assist in analysis and development of supply chain metrics and business processes.
• Report findings to team members and management as required.
• Experience setting and planning daily/weekly workload to support priorities and leading a team.
• Work on projects with time management and without constant supervision.
• Organize and facilitate team meetings (pre-shift, roundtables, etc.).
• Be flexible to work across shifts including mornings, evenings and/or weekends.
• Participate in internship program trainings and events.
• Develop interpersonal and communication skills to lead a frontline team.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn, take risks, and take on new assignments.
• Gain understanding of all business areas to build business acumen.
