Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Lockbourne, OH is seeking an Operations Intern for Summer 2027 to support our Supply Chain team under close supervision.

The role provides hands-on exposure to transportation management and logistics operations. You will help with freight planning, asset utilization, safety and DOT compliance, and driver payroll while gaining industry insight and contributing to customer value delivery. Ideal for juniors or seniors enrolled in an undergrad/grad program.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
• Position not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program OR graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited community college, college or university.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Junior or Senior level preferred

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
