Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC in Houston is seeking an Operations Intern to support process improvement and equipment design within the repair and production department under the supervision of the Service and Production Manager.

You will develop process flow maps, SOPs, SAP documentation, and time studies, contributing to efficiency and high-quality products for customers, while gaining hands-on experience in a global industrial setting. This on-site internship requires 29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CAD software for design work.

Responsibilities

• Develop process flow maps depicting steps, decisions, handoffs and accountable departments.
• Create and update SOPs for key operational processes.
• Document SAP process steps and supporting reference information.
• Conduct process time studies and analyze cycle-time and labor data for improvements.
• Organize final maps, SOPs, time-study results and recommendations for internal review.
