Job summary

Textron is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern in Cartersville, GA to gain hands-on experience by building production tooling, designing processes, and analyzing layouts for better product flow. You will work on real projects alongside seasoned professionals during a 10-week summer internship.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, with CAD and MS Office proficiency, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a drive to complete

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with CAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Build plans, production tooling, and manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.
Redesign tooling to improve operators' work environments.
Analyze layouts and production processes to improve facility layouts for product flow.
Create reference documents and standardized work for new or improved processes.
Analyze quality concerns and implement improvement ideas.
Monitor key supply chain KPIs including PPM and line disruptions.
