Job summary

Treeswift is seeking an early-career Business Operations Associate to join a small, high-performing team. You will report to the Head of Business Operations and gain exposure across finance, people operations, legal and compliance, vendor management, internal systems, and strategic projects.

The role is varied: you might build analyses for leadership decisions, coordinate renewals, improve workflows, or drive cross-functional initiatives to completion.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of full-time experience in strategy, finance, or operations at a fast-growing technology company.
• Strong quantitative and spreadsheet skills and ability to structure an analysis.
• Excellent written communication and ability to turn messy information into concise, decision-ready output.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Willingness to handle analytical work and detailed operational follow-through with speed.
• Experience in regulated industries, hardware, infrastructure, utilities, or government-adjacent work is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operational workflows across finance, legal, people operations, vendor management, and internal systems, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
• Build analyses, financial models, dashboards, and decision materials to support leadership on budgeting, hiring, vendor, and strategic decisions.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects from kickoff to completion, driving alignment, accountability, and timely execution.
• Improve the way we operate by documenting processes, building lightweight automations, and identifying opportunities to make workflows more efficient.
• Manage and maintain core business systems (Notion, Justworks, Google Drive) with a focus on accuracy, organization, and scalability.
• Take ownership of high-priority, fast-moving projects across the business, using sound judgment to solve problems and drive results with increasing independence.
