Job summary

Edward Jones in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Operations Team Generalist to support the Estates Insights – Court Order Department. You will process court orders, garnishments, and levies, collaborate with the Legal Response Team, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.

You will analyze complex information, serve as SME across multiple business areas, and train associates while identifying opportunities for efficiency and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Finance or Accounting preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry or related field is required. Familiarity with industry and business area specific regulations is required within 6 months.
• Ability to make recommendations to resolve and improve system issues is required.
• Must have ability to identify process improvement opportunities and determine business requirements while understanding upstream and downstream impacts to other systems.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with other business areas on system requirements, process changes, etc. required.
• Must have time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and handle a moderate to heavy workload to be able to fulfill all the roles within the area.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, research, and interpret, complex information utilizing a high degree of industry and regulatory knowledge related to the business area.
• Subject matter expert on multiple business area functions including a deep understanding of both how and why the work is performed.
• Train and coaching of associates within or across multiple business areas.
• Work with Legal Response Team to create and maintain team processes and upstream impacts.
• Provide analysis of information along with alternative solutions and present recommendations to business area leaders for process or system improvements. Implementation of the agreed upon solutions would also be required.
