Job description






Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Finance Lead to join our Muskogee, OK Consumer Products Manufacturing facility. In this role, you will create value for the organization by providing actionable manufacturing analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and business partnering with our operations teams to create value and close gaps. We are recruiting contribution motivated candidates with strong critical and entrepreneurial thinking skills. In this role you will drive operational improvements and support strategic decision making. This role is a valued partner on the site's leadership team and will have the opportunity to mentor and knowledge share process improvements and optimization with other operations finance leaders/team members in the business. This role will also have the potential to supervise an additional financial analyst onsite after initial onboarding.

Location: This is an onsite role supporting our Consumer Products mill in Muskogee, OK. We are seeking local applicants, or candidates that are willing to relocate to the area. Relocation assistance is offered for this position.

The Muskogee Mill has been in operation for 47 years and is located close to Tulsa, OK. Owned by Georgia-Pacific, the site boasts more than 800 employees and produces away from home and retail tissue and towel. Our Georgia-Pacific Corporate HQ is located in downtown Atlanta, GA.

What You will Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional manufacturing team to seek and share knowledge, identify opportunities for improvements, challenge the status quo, and propose solutions to advance the competitive position of the Muskogee mill.
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to identify performance drivers, creating and executing work plans to drive improvement.
  • Partner with operations leadership at Muskogee to develop and advance long-term strategic plan to improve competitive position.
  • Execute operations bet tracking and performance analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead financial planning, management reporting, and analytics for Muskogee.
  • Advance economic thinking around capital and expense investments with manufacturing team.
  • Contribute to monthly forecasting, providing insights into financial performance, variances, and opportunities.
  • Create leadership and ad-hoc business presentations to support strategic initiatives.
  • Partner effectively with our Accounting, Controls, Product Costing, and Commercial Finance teams to support variance analyses, and general mill questions.
  • Effectively communicate mill performance and gaps across different levels of the organization
  • Uphold and promote the Principles-Based Management culture by reinforcing the company's Core Values and Principles.

Who You Are (Basic Requirements):

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, accounting, operations finance, or related roles, with a strong grasp of financial concepts and economic principles.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and solving operational challenges, driving continuous improvement.
  • Transformation-focused, with the ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic environment, embracing change and process improvement.
  • Proficient in sourcing and analyzing large volumes of data, developing informed perspectives and solutions.
  • Effective communicator, capable of presenting complex financial concepts to diverse audiences and engaging stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, guiding projects and mentoring team members.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • Finance/Operations Accounting experience in a Manufacturing organization
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including financial modeling and data visualization
  • Experience with data analysis/visualization tools, such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, and ERP systems like SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive transformation within manufacturing operations
