Job summary

Riveron is seeking an experienced operations consultant to join our Washington, DC practice. You will partner with client leadership and PE sponsors to evaluate operations, identify value creation opportunities, and help drive initiatives that improve both operational performance and financial results.

You will lead due diligence engagements, assess manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement operations, and develop actionable roadmaps with measurable KPIs.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in operations consulting in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments.
• Experience with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies.
• Experience supporting buy-side or sell-side due diligence engagements.
• Experience delivering measurable improvements in cost reduction, productivity, EBITDA, or working capital.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel based on client needs.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, TOC, or similar methodologies.
• Previous consulting experience with top-tier or Big Four firms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support operational due diligence engagements for private equity buy-side, sell-side, and carve-out transactions.
• Assess manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality, maintenance, and distribution operations to identify operational risks and value creation opportunities.
• Evaluate operational scalability relative to investment theses and growth strategies.
• Develop fact-based value creation roadmaps, including 100-day plans, implementation priorities, and measurable KPIs.
• Conduct current-state operational assessments across production, labor productivity, planning, maintenance, quality, and procurement.
• Identify and support implementation of EBITDA improvement initiatives, including cost optimization, productivity improvement, working capital enhancement, and operational excellence programs.
• Analyze labor, overhead, and operating cost structures to develop business cases for operational investments, restructuring, footprint optimization, network optimization, and process redesign.
• Translate operational findings into clear, investment-focused recommendations for executive leadership, private equity sponsors, and investment committees.
• Support and lead engagement teams while managing day‑to‑day client relationships and delivering high‑quality work products and exceptional client service.
• Help clients implement sustainable operating rhythms, governance processes, and performance management tools that drive continuous improvement.
