Raytheon's internship program is designed to empower growth by exploring the dynamic nature of the defense industry throughout Raytheon Operations, Supply Chain & Quality (OSCQ). Throughout the summer, you will be able to expand your knowledge of OSCQ while also gaining unprecedented exposure to leadership along the way.
Operations engineers are within the manufacturing processes in the factory. They may interpret and translate design requirements into manufacturing processes. They may also support the test process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities. Interns will support the troubleshooting and problem solving of test failures while identifying opportunities in test processes to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity. They support factory operations to ensure process and design requirements are satisfied, and drive continuous improvements to reduce cost, defects, and cycle time.
Utilize Raytheon systems and tools to support Manufacturing processes, support production operations and the Manufacturing discipline, support Manufacturing objectives for cost, quality, schedule and safety, support improvement and optimization initiatives within the Manufacturing discipline.
Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co‑op session. Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co‑op session. Experience with Microsoft Office tools. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer Degree focus in Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering. Experience/Education with manufacturing testing processes. Experience/Education with technical writing and interpretation of technical documentation 3.0 cumulative GPA. Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
