Job summary

Probity Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineer to provide Tier 2 IT support for cross-domain systems, ensuring reliable data flow and system performance. The role emphasizes monitoring, incident handling, automation, and collaboration with engineering and SecDevOps teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT operations, strong Linux server experience, and excellent communication skills to translate technical issues for stakeholders. An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of IT operations, systems administration, or similar role.
Proficiency in managing Linux server environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Monitor the performance and health of all servers, network devices, and applications using monitoring tools; notify the Infrastructure team for maintenance and updates.
Act as primary responder for IT incidents and outages; diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, network and data flow issues.
Identify opportunities to automate routine operational tasks; develop scripts and use configuration management tools.
Collaborate with mission partners, development, SecDevOps, and other cross-functional teams; maintain clear documentation for procedures, configurations, and incident reports.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours support for critical incidents.
