Job summary

Sentara Medical Group seeks a Director of Operations I for Gastroenterology and Urology to oversee four practice locations in Norfolk, Newport News, and Elizabeth City. The role will lead three Practice Managers and drive growth in GI, Urology, and onsite endoscopy services, with regular weekly travel among sites.

Responsibilities include daily operations, staffing, patient access, scheduling, and provider support, plus quality, budgeting, and regulatory compliance to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum five years of leadership experience in ambulatory, physician-practice, specialty-clinic, or hospital operations.
• Gastroenterology, Urology, endoscopy, or multi-site practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across four practice locations.
• Manage staffing, patient access, scheduling, and provider support.
