Job summary

The University of Washington seeks an Assistant Director for the Research Administration Collaborative (RAC) to lead centralized award setup and modification services and to drive continuous improvement across the shared-service model. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will supervise staff, manage workflows, and collaborate with partners across OSP, ORIS, and academic units.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, finance, research administration, higher education administration, or related field.
• Five years of experience in business administration, finance, research administration, or higher education administration.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day service operations, including workload management, prioritization, resource allocation, and service delivery.
• Establish and maintain operating procedures, service standards, quality controls, and escalation practices.
• Monitor service performance and address operational issues, risks, bottlenecks, and emerging priorities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, accuracy, transparency, and customer service.
• Lead implementation of redesigned workflows, procedures, controls, and operating standards.
