Overview
The Operations Crewmember supports all functions of the airport advertising program on-site at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). The role involves maintaining signage condition and operations, ensuring advertisements are in excellent condition, and assisting with installations and material management in a fast-paced airport environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain displays at all locations daily, including illuminated printed, direct application, free charge stations, digital, and specialty assets.
- Maintain signage conditions and operations, including daily function, installations, and material management activities.
- Assist with installations by safely hanging client or airport copy (display creative) and receiving/prepping copy for illuminated signs.
- Manage receiving records and post copy using appropriate safety equipment and tools.
- Distribute and display client brochures and magazines, ensuring presentation quality.
- Oversee or assist with exhibit delivery, installation, daily operations, and load-out within the airport; coordinate with installers for non-traditional products.
- Maintain inventory supporting sales efforts; measure new inventory to provide product specifications to contractors and sales team.
- Communicate airport issues to the Operations Manager and Market Manager; report new products or signage; address issues or complaints.
- Provide escort or access for vendors or client tours as required.
- Perform daily administrative tasks and maintain relationships with airport and terminal managers; manage service centers as applicable.
- Conduct daily airport walks, identify and resolve issues, and perform daily cleaning/maintenance of static units; support campaign start/end installations/removals.
- Assist in identifying and troubleshooting digital issues; participate in bi-weekly operations calls to share best practices.
- Capture daily/weekly photos and videos of passenger traffic and posted campaigns as requested.
- Attend airport operations meetings and contribute to sales initiatives and inventory changes.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- Work Experience: 3+ years of related experience, preferably in project management and/or facilities maintenance.
- Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret requests; ability to learn and use company and customer systems; basic digital troubleshooting; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Competencies: Action orientation, adaptability, attention to detail, customer focus, integrity, organization, time management.
Physical Demands
- Regular lifting, pulling, and pushing; occasional lifting more than 50 pounds; climbing ladders or stairs; walking long distances within the airport.
- Specific vision abilities; work environment is temperature-controlled with occasional dust and fumes; some duties may occur during evenings or late nights.
Other Requirements
- 10-year FBI background check for airport security badging; access to a reliable vehicle; valid driver’s license.
