Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Operations Coordinator for Rehab Patient Services to manage registration, scheduling, and patient check-in across outpatient clinics. You will work with the Rehab Patient Services Manager and clinical staff to ensure efficient delivery of care and smooth front-office operations.

This role supports staff onboarding, performance reviews, and staff development, partnering with managers to schedule coverage, maintain attendance records, and assist with CPT/ICD

• Operations Coordinator, Rehab Patient Servicesis responsible for registration and scheduling activities of multiple outpatient Rehabilitation Services Clinics in consultation with the Rehab Patient Services Manager, clinical leadership team and/or clinical staff. Assists Rehab Patient Services Manager in the supervision, hiring, training, teaching, coaching, and scheduling of front office staff in their assigned RS clinics. Operations Coordinator has comprehensive knowledge of Rehabilitation Services patient needs and works to ensure smooth and efficient scheduling and registration for efficient delivery of care, including problem resolution. This position will support Rehab Patient Services Manager in projects involving CPT and ICD coding and health insurance patient billing. The position is an integral part of the practice leadership team.

  • Partners with clinical leaders to schedule staff for adequate coverage to meet the needs of the department; maintains attendance records and completes accurate payroll.

• Acts as the local patient access leader to disseminate appropriate information and changes in processes and procedures

• Assist Rehab Patient Services Manager to examine ways to improve business relationships with customers, suppliers, community, etc.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• High school graduate required.

Preferred:

• Experience with Epic EMR (Patient Scheduling, Registration and Billing modules)
• Experience with using Microsoft office applications
• Bachelors Degree
