Job summary

Maersk in Salem, Oregon is seeking an Operations Coordinator to manage freight shipments across air, ocean, and ground, aligning with customer requests and station KPIs. The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, accuracy, and timely communications with carriers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has Excel experience and can handle a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including overtime and weekend rotations on a Tue-Sat schedule. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Track and trace outbound shipments.
• Inspect outbound freight.
• Contract new carriers and provide load tenders.
• Communicate freight status to stations and customers, and update systems.
• Provide customer service.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Data entry of shipments in TMS.
• Quote, cost, and invoice international shipments (air, ocean, ground).
• Manage domestic air and ground routing (including Canada).
• Negotiate freight rates and develop carrier relationships.
• Assign carriers and provide load tenders.
• Identify new logistics opportunities and design carrier solutions.

JOB SUMMARY

Pay Range

$20-$25 per hour
