Job summary

Insight Global in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Project Coordination professional to support Public Works operations. The role collaborates with the Director and Division Managers to develop, update and maintain policy and procedures, and to manage annual maintenance contracts and renewals.

You will develop bid packages (RFQ, ITB, RFP, etc.), schedule contractors for maintenance or construction, and help manage COOP and Emergency Response plans.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Degree plus 5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, roadway construction, or public works operations.
• Ability to respond to emergencies including snowstorms and hurricanes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain policy and procedures with leadership.
• Track annual maintenance contracts and renewals.
• Develop public bid packages and issue contracts (RFQ, ITB, RFP, etc.).
• Schedule contractors for maintenance or construction activities.
• Develop City Council agenda items.
• Obtain and document quotes from contractors/vendors for smaller projects.
• Order and track capital equipment orders.
• Annually review and update COOP and Emergency Response plans.
• Serve as alternate Incident Commander during disasters and emergencies.
• Manage asset management program and work order system.
• Produce management metric reports.
• Coordinate and maintain a training database and track renewals.

• Develop public bid packages and execute contracts for various purchasing methods (Quotes, RFQ, ITB, RFP, etc).
• Schedule contractors for maintenance and/or construction activities.
• Develops City Council Agenda Items.
• Responsible for obtaining and documenting quotes from contractors/vendors on smaller projects.
• Order and track capital equipment orders.
• Annually review and update the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and Emergency Response plan.
• Serves as the alternate Incident Commander for natural disasters, special events and other emergencies that impact the City.
• Responsible for the asset management program and work order system.
• Produce metric reports for management.
• Coordinates and maintains a database of job specific training for Public Works staff and tracks certification renewals.
