Job summary

Rinse is seeking a Local Operations Associate in Passaic, NJ to execute delivery and cleaning operations and ensure orders meet quality standards for on-time delivery by our Valets.

The role is onsite at the Passaic warehouse with a typical shift from 4:30PM to 1:00AM. Training starts at $20/hr for 30 days, then increases to $22/hr, with equity opportunities after 90 days and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college education preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight transport, or 3PL is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Comfort with evening shifts and fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders are ready for delivery by performing quality and inventory checks.
• Troubleshoot delivery issues and support Valets during shifts.
• Work with Customer Care to deliver excellent client service and handle special orders.
• Identify operational challenges and collaborate with Corporate Operations to improve efficiency.
• Drive occasional delivery routes to gain on-the-ground experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a core member of our Local Operations team, you will be responsible for executing all aspects of Delivery and Cleaning operations as we scale Rinse New Jersey. You will help ensure that customer orders meet our high standards of cleaning quality, are prepared for delivery and delivered on time by our Valets. A few important things to note about this role:

Typical shift schedule: 4:30PM - 1:00AM

Location: This is an onsite role reporting to our warehouse in Passaic, NJ.

Compensation: Initial $20/hr for the first 30 days (training), then increased to $22/hr.

Equity: All Rinse Operations Associates have the opportunity to earn and vest equity (options) after working at the company for 90 days.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL...

• Ensure that customer orders are ready for delivery by performing quality and inventory control checks.
• Troubleshoot any delivery issues and support our Valets (delivery drivers) throughout the duration of their shift.
• Work closely with the Customer Care team to deliver exceptional customer service. Provide on-the-ground support for any customer issues or special order requests.
• Help identify and report any operational challenges and work with our Corporate Operations team to implement processes aimed at improving operational efficiency as we grow in New Jersey.
• Be able to drive occasional delivery routes to gain on-the-ground experience and assist Valets on-the-road.

AS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE, YOU…

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college education preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight transport, or third-party logistics (3PL) is a plus.
• Are a problem solver who is biased towards action and able to overcome challenges.
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and work well under pressure.
• Are energized until the late hours of the night and can reliably work evening shifts.
• Roll with the punches and embrace change and ambiguity.
• Are comfortable with or excited to learn about different technology and tools (Google Docs, Slack, iOS devices). Proficiency is a plus.
• Experience with PC applications such as Email, Word, and Excel and Mobile apps.

• Capable of working independently and collaborating with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and manage various tasks simultaneously.

• Have a driver's license with a clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Record check required).
