Are you someone with a passion for Out-of-School Time and have a strong knowledge of operations? MASP is growing and we are hiring an Operations Coordinator to support our expanding organization.
Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator ensures smooth and efficient internal operations by providing comprehensive administrative, logistical, and operational support. This role is essential in managing the day-to-day systems that allow MASP’s staff, programs, and partnerships to thrive.
This is a remote position with travel to Lansing once a week, some additional travel and in-person meetings required.
Essential Duties
Administrative and Office Management
- Manage organizational calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for internal and external events.
- Prepare agendas, take notes, and track action items for staff, board, and external meetings.
- Support communications with partners, vendors, funders, and the board of directors.
- Maintain an organized digital filing system using SharePoint and other cloud-based platforms.
- Order and manage office supplies.
- Provide administrative support for onboarding new staff, interns, and contractors.
Finance and Compliance
- Track organizational filings, registrations, and compliance documents to ensure deadlines are met (e.g., charitable solicitation, 990 support, insurance renewals).
- Collect and review staff expenses and credit card report for accuracy and completeness.
Technology & Systems
- Support administration of digital tools and platforms
- Troubleshoot basic tech issues and coordinate with IT support as needed.
- Streamline internal systems to improve operational efficiency.
Database and CRM Management
- Assist with MASP’s CRM and Monday.com
- Enter, update, and manage contact, funding, and engagement data.
- Generate reports and mailing lists to support communications, development, and program tracking.
- Ensure database integrity, standardize data entry, and support staff in using CRM effectively.
· Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
- One year of related experience.
- Commitment to MASP’s vision, mission, and values.
- Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Passion for equity and the OST sector.
- Knowledge about Michigan’s OST field preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with event coordination and logistics.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and well-organized.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively work across culturally diverse groups toward a common goal by including and respecting others and valuing their perspectives.
- Ability to receive and give feedback for continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and scheduling tools.
- Ability to learn and use new software systems quickly.

- Willingness, availability, and ability to travel statewide and nationally, as needed.
Physical and Environmental Expectations
This position requires working indoors most of the time with some occasional work outdoors for events and interaction with communities. This position spends most of its time working at a desk and computer. The typical workweek is seven and a half hour workdays, five days per week with some occasional weekend work, as well as longer hours when deadlines warrant.
Salary and Benefits
Starting annual salary is $50,000 - $55,000, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefit package including employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, an employer matched 403b, and other benefits averaging an additional 35% of non-salary benefit. Additional work-life benefits include generous vacation and paid time off.
