Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. in Montpelier, OH (on-site) seeks an Operations Compliance Specialist to support safety, productivity, and labor-relations activities across operations.

You will liaison among operations staff, supervisors, and administrative departments, ensuring compliance with company policies and bargaining agreements, and supporting ISO audits. The role emphasizes training administration, JSWP development, SAP usage on the shop floor, and confidentiality in handling sensitive

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track overtime requests and approvals in line with bargaining agreements.
• Maintain OT logs, postings, and equalization records.
• Maintain attendance records for bargaining unit employees.
• Update the training matrix for hourly employees ensuring safety and skill progression.
• Schedule and document training activities with supervisors, HR, and Safety.
• Lead in developing and updating JSWPs for production areas.
• Assist and lead ISO auditing and certification activities; act as lead auditor.
• Monitor certification expirations and JSWP completion and requalification needs.
• Coordinate training delivery for hourly employees.
• Support grievance processes with documentation and timelines per contracts.
• Ensure document control practices and access to latest versions.
• Maintain confidentiality on sensitive employee and labor-relations matters.
• Lead SAP training and usage on the shop floor.
• Fill temporary vacancies among operations and supervisory groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Wieland is hiring a Operations Compliance Specialist. The Operations Compliance Specialist will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to operations leadership. This position serves as a liaison between operations staff, supervisors, and administrative departments to support all groups with safety, productivity, bargaining unit interaction and company compliance activities. This role is located in Montpelier, OH and will be fully on-site. While this role is local, occasional travel to other locations may be required (15-25% travel).

Responsibilities

Operations Compliance Specialist Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and track overtime requests, approvals, and assignments in compliance with company policies and collective bargaining agreements.
• Maintain accurate OT logs, postings, and equalization records.
• Maintain attendance records for bargaining unit employees.
• Maintain and update the training matrix for all hourly employees to ensure compliance with safety, job qualification, and skill progression requirements.
• Partner with supervisors, HR, and Safety to schedule and document training activities.
• Lead in the development, review, and update of JSWPs for production areas.
• Assist and/or lead aspects of our ISO auditing and certification process. Function as a lead auditor.
• Track certification expirations, JSWP (Job Safety Work Procedure) completion, and requalification needs.
• Coordinate employee training execution for hourly employees
• Provide support in the grievance process, including documentation, scheduling meetings in line with collective bargaining agreement, and maintaining grievance logs.
• Support resolution efforts by ensuring timelines and communication protocols are followed.
• Ensure document control practices are followed, and the latest versions are accessible to supervisors and employees.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion when handling sensitive employee and labor relations matters.
• Lead SAP training and utilization initiatives on the shop floor as a key systems user.
• Ability to fill temporary vacancies among operations and supervisors’ groups.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor, as needed

Operations Compliance Specialist Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 6–10 years of experience in a production, HR, or administrative coordination role.
• Strong organizational and data management skills with attention to accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
