Wieland North America, Inc. in Montpelier, OH is seeking a 3rd shift Production Supervisor to lead the safe and efficient operation of an assigned manufacturing department.

This frontline role directs hourly union employees to meet safety, quality, productivity and delivery objectives on a fully on-site basis. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and 3 years of progressive manufacturing leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or experiential equivalent.
• 3 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead daily manufacturing operations while achieving safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, quality systems, and operational performance metrics.
• Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Experience administering company policies and supporting employee performance management.
• Strong communication, organization, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
• Coordinate staffing, work assignments, and production priorities to meet production requirements.
• Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to address routine operational issues.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules, standard work, and operating procedures.
• Coach, develop and support employees through performance feedback and training.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and respect.
• Foster employee engagement and recognition.
• Resolve routine operational, quality, staffing, and employee concerns using established policies and procedures.
• Identify process issues and implement practical solutions.
• Escalate complex situations appropriately.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Encourage employee involvement in process improvements.
• Promote a safe work environment and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct safety observations and address hazards.
• Ensure adherence to quality and operational standards.
• Administer company policies consistently.
• Address attendance, performance, and conduct concerns.
• Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations matters and labor agreement administration as applicable.
