Job summary

Optexity is seeking a hands-on generalist operator to own the business, legal, and people infrastructure that keeps a fast-moving team running. You will ensure contracts are signed, payroll processed, compliance upheld, and critical tasks not missed.

You’ll work directly with the founders to build an operational backbone from near-zero. In healthcare, BAAs, HIPAA, and state privacy obligations add complexity.

Responsibilities

• Legal & contracts — manage outside counsel, own contract lifecycle including BAAs, NDAs, and vendor agreements; maintain board and investor docs and entity registrations
• Compliance — own HIPAA/state privacy compliance, coordinate audits and SOC 2, maintain policies and vendor due-diligence
• HR & people ops — onboard/offboard, offer letters, benefits and immigration support, maintain policies and records
• Accounting & payroll — oversee bookkeeping, process payroll and contractor payments, manage AP/AR and month-end close
• Everyday operations — manage vendors, software/tools, insurance, and scalable processes
• Founder leverage — distill ambiguous problems, structure them, and drive to completion
