Job summary

Optexity is seeking a hands-on generalist operator to own the business, legal, and people infrastructure that keeps a small team moving fast. You’ll sign contracts, handle payroll, ensure HIPAA/compliance, and build scalable processes so the company runs reliably as we scale.

You’ll work directly with founders, own cross-functional operations, and drive end-to-end execution from onboarding to vendor management, balancing ambiguity with clear, repeatable workflows in a healthcare-focused startup.

Responsibilities

• Legal & contracts — manage outside counsel, own the contract lifecycle (customer agreements, BAAs, NDAs, vendor and consulting agreements) and keep corporate housekeeping in order
• Compliance — own HIPAA and state privacy compliance, coordinate audits and security certifications (e.g. SOC 2) as they come up, maintain policies and vendor due-diligence
• HR & people ops — run onboarding/offboarding, offers, benefits and visa support, keep employee policies and records clean
• Accounting & payroll — oversee bookkeeping with accountants, run payroll and contractor payments, manage AP/AR and monthly close
• Everyday operations — manage vendors, software/tools, insurance, and logistics for a fast-growing team
• Founder leverage — take ambiguous operational problems, structure them, and drive them to done
