Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC is seeking an Operations Business Analyst Intern to help optimize daily processes and drive efficiency across waste services, railcar, and marine divisions. You will map workflows, analyze operational data, and support in building leadership dashboards.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field (see above).
Junior or Senior status by Fall 2027.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and basic data visualization.
Excellent problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Perform daily data analysis on waste streams, facility output, and logistics.
Create and update workflow charts, process maps, and user guides.
Build and maintain dashboards tracking KPIs for leadership.
Collaborate with finance, IT, and project management on cross-functional initiatives.
Assist with testing and evaluating new system resources or operations.
