Job summary

DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) is seeking a qualified professional for budget, financial analysis, and program information management within Operations. You will support budgeting, cost models, and reporting while coordinating across departments to ensure accurate financial planning.

The role requires data analysis, strong communication, and proficiency with Office tools. This exempt, in-office position in Dallas offers opportunities to influence capital projects and performance management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Business Administration, Contracts Management, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in data analysis, project management, budgeting, accounting, agenda reporting and other transit related monitoring and analysis activities.
• Must pass a physical (medical) examination that includes a drug screen to operate DART non-revenue vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, monitors, supports and/or develops projects and performance management programs.
• Serves as a technical resource to management in the application and interpretation of procedures, rules, and policies.
• Provides support with department, division and section cost models including utilizing the TM-1 and Maximo Budget Applications, state and federal survey/reporting and Board Agenda reporting.
• Maintains, monitors, and/or prepares BPOs,purchase orders and invoices, etc as required.
• Assists in the preparation and research of budgeting, financial planning, developing cost estimates, schedules, and accounting activities as related to Capital Projects for the Operations’ Departments and its divisions utilizing the Enterprise Project Management (EPM) system as needed.
• Serves as the point of contact with assigned departments’ personnel to obtain information relevant to budget operating plans.
• Prepares and submits monthly accounting and budgeting reports including Journal Entries, Monthly Variance Analysis, Explanations and Forecasting reports, and other business/analytical reports, including statistical reports as required.
• Provide technical assistance and training to staff.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
