Job summary

Wall Street Careers® is seeking an experienced Hedge Fund Operations professional in Midtown Manhattan. You will support end-to-end processing across bank debt, liquid credit, and equities, while coordinating NAV, reconciliations, and investor reporting.

You will work closely with PMs and traders, optimize P&L oversight, and manage daily cash, margin, and FX. A strong Excel skillset and Bloomberg Terminal experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of fund operations experience at a hedge fund or alt asset manager.
• Hybrid ops/accounting background preferred: moving between trade-level reconciliation and NAV/close reporting.
• Solid knowledge across bank debt, credit, and equities.
• Experience with Enfusion (or similar OMS/PMS) and HedgeServ (or similar fund admin).
• Bloomberg Terminal experience.
• Advanced Excel for large-scale reconciliations, lookups, and formula audits.
• Comfortable communicating with active trading desks, fund admins, and street counterparties.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Trade Capture & Lifecycle Management: support end-to-end processing for bank debt, liquid credit, and equity trades.
• Fund Accounting & NAV Oversight: assist monthly/quarterly close, NAV calculations, and investor allocations.
• Front-Office P&L Troubleshooting: work with PMs/traders to monitor and resolve intraday P&L and price feeds.
• Daily Reconciliations: perform reconciliations across Enfusion, prime brokers, and HedgeServ.
• Bank Debt Mechanics: calculate and reconcile loan interest accruals and rate resets.
• Treasury & Cash Management: assist with daily cash forecasting, margin movements, FX exposures.
• Administrator & Vendor Oversight: liaise with HedgeServ and prime brokers for break resolution.

Job description

A fast-growing event-driven hedge fund managing $4B in AUM, investing across liquid credit, bank debt, and equities from Midtown Manhattan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Trade Capture & Lifecycle Management: Support end-to-end operational processing for bank debt, liquid credit, and equity trades, including trade bookings, settlements, and agent bank notices
• Fund Accounting & NAV Oversight: Support monthly and quarterly close, review NAV calculations and investor allocations alongside the fund administrator, and assist with journal entries and audit support
• Front-Office P&L Troubleshooting: Partner directly with PMs and traders in Enfusion to monitor, verify, and resolve real-time intraday P&L, pricing feeds, and trade breaks
• Daily Reconciliations: Perform core reconciliations across Enfusion, prime brokers, and HedgeServ for positions, cash, and collateral using advanced Excel
• Bank Debt Mechanics: Calculate and reconcile loan interest accruals, SOFR and base rate resets, PIK balances, and delayed compensation
• Treasury & Cash Management: Assist with daily cash forecasting, margin and collateral movements, FX exposures, and wire preparation
• Administrator & Vendor Oversight: Liaise directly with HedgeServ and prime brokers to ensure prompt break resolution and corporate action execution

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 to 6 years of fund operations experience at a hedge fund or alternative asset manager
• Hybrid ops/accounting background strongly preferred: comfortable moving between trade-level reconciliation and NAV, close, and investor reporting work
• Solid product knowledge across bank debt, credit, and equities
• Experience with Enfusion (or similar OMS/PMS) and HedgeServ (or similar fund admin)
• Bloomberg Terminal experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (large-scale reconciliations, lookups, formula audits)
• Comfortable communicating directly with active trading desks, fund administrators, and street counterparties
• Position is on-site in the Midtown NYC office daily
