Job summary

Staffmark in Lavergne, TN is hiring an Operations Associate to help run daily warehouse tasks, from receiving shipments to picking, packing, and staging orders with attention to detail. The role prefers candidates with warehouse or distribution experience and is a direct-hire position with pay: $19.00–$20.00 per hour.

Shifts include days, nights and weekends, and you’ll work in a fast-paced environment alongside a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or distribution preferred.
• Experience with RF scanners or voice-picking systems a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling orders.
• Ability to follow written instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic counting and inventory skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming cartons and inspect shipments against bills of lading.
• Receive, sort, count, and verify products for inventory and orders.
• Stock books in designated locations and replenish inventory as needed.
• Pick, verify, and stage customer orders using paper lists, RF scanners, or voice-directed systems.
• Pack orders to ensure safe shipment and inspect products for damage.
• Complete quality assurance forms and production documentation as required.
• Move inventory using hand carts and pallet jacks and maintain a clean workspace.

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or order fulfillment experience preferred
• Experience using RF scanners or voice-picking systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking and verifying orders
• Ability to follow written instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic counting and inventory skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull cartons and book products throughout the shift
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work assigned shifts

Job Duties:

• Unload incoming cartons and inspect shipments against bills of lading
• Receive, sort, count, and verify book products for inventory and customer orders
• Stock books in designated warehouse locations and replenish inventory as needed
• Pick, verify, and stage customer orders using paper pick lists, RF scanners, or voice-directed systems
• Pack customer orders using appropriate packaging methods to ensure safe shipment
• Inspect products for damage and verify order accuracy before shipping
• Complete quality assurance forms and production documentation as required
• Break down boxes and dispose of packing materials properly
• Move inventory throughout the warehouse using hand carts and pallet jacks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company procedures
