Virginia Tech Athletics seeks an Operations Assistant for the Men's Soccer program to manage daily operations and budget. You will coordinate travel for the team and staff, support admissions, and liaise withCompliance and Academic Support Services to ensure smooth operations.

This part-time role reports to the Head Coach and requires strong organizational skills, a working knowledge of NCAA rules, and ability to coordinate visits and events. A criminal background check is required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Experience working in a Division I Power 4 athletic department.
• Experience coordinating team and recruiting travel for a Division I soccer program.
• Experience working with a diverse group of coaches, staff, and/or student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Manage budget and daily operations for the Men's Soccer program.
• Coordinate team and staff travel arrangements.
• Assist with student athlete admissions and coordination with Compliance and Academic Support Services.
• Plan recruiting visits, events, and game day operations liaison duties.
• Handle administrative responsibilities for Head Coach / Men's Soccer.

The Operations Assistant / Men's Soccer will assist in managing the budget and daily operations of the Men's Soccer program. This person will help coordinate individual and team travel arrangements, student athlete admissions, communication with Athletics Compliance and Student Athlete Academic Support Services. Responsibilities include and not limited to managing travel (for both the team and staff); assist with the daily schedule of coaches and team; coordinate recruiting visits; plan special events; serve as game day operations liaison; handle numerous administrative responsibilities for the Head Coach / Men's Soccer. This position reports directly to the Head Coach / Men's Soccer.

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Experience working in a Division I "Power 4" athletic department.
• Experience coordinating team and recruiting travel for a Division I soccer program.
• Experience working with a diverse group of coaches, staff, and/or student athletes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or similar field.
• Experience as a collegiate coach and/or student athlete.
• Working knowledge of Teamworks or similar recruiting software.
• Experience with HokieMart.
