Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not on premises, have supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Handle additional store-related communications and requests delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness on a daily basis.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow all cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Oversee promotional displays and seasonal areas for effectiveness.
• Coordinate signage used in the store.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain checkout area merchandising to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and front-of-store displays daily, including balloon programs, sunglasses, batteries, etc.
• Manage the Drive Item program.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
