Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, employees, and supervisors
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is not present, oversee hourly Associates
• Process all directives related to store activities, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD policies
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines
• Enhance promotional effectiveness through store fixtures and displays
• Manage seasonal store areas for sales effectiveness
• Coordinate store signage
• Process damaged merchandise daily
• Assist in creating weekly schedules
• Manage store supplies and control expenses
• Maintain merchandising and checkout area to maximize impulse sales
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily (e.g., balloons, sunglasses, batteries)

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Preferred prior retail and management experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
