Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors.
6. Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, in company-standard condition, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is absent, oversee hourly Associates.
8. Process all corporate directives related to store activities, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
12. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
13. Enhance promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
14. Manage sales effectiveness of seasonal areas.
15. Coordinate store signage.
16. Process damaged merchandise daily.
17. Assist with weekly scheduling.
18. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
19. Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout areas to maximize impulse sales.
20. Ensure coolers and displays are refilled daily, including programs like balloons, sunglasses, batteries, etc.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
