Responsibilities include assisting with all operational tasks as delegated by the Store Manager, with a focus on front-end and sales floor operations. Also, assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain store areas to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, have direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and store communications as delegated.
9. Assist with receipt and return of merchandise, following company policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Support sales effectiveness on the sales floor and manage cashiering activities to ensure proper cash handling.
12. Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal displays.
13. Assist with merchandising and maintaining the checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
14. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.
15. Assist with creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

1. Prior retail and management experience preferred.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
