Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, take direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and store communications as delegated by the Store Manager.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Ensure sales floor effectiveness daily.
12. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
13. Maintain promotional displays and manage seasonal store areas.
14. Coordinate signage in the store.
15. Process damaged merchandise daily.
16. Assist with weekly schedule creation.
17. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
18. Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout areas to maximize sales.
19. Refill coolers and displays daily, including promotional items.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
