Responsibilities:

• Assist with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Perform all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Handle opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, in company-standard condition, including recovery tasks.
• When the Store Manager is absent, take supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities, including pull and hold/destroy, task compliance, and survey information.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Maintain sales effectiveness on the sales floor and seasonal areas.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate store signage and promotional displays.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist in creating weekly staff schedules.
• Help manage store supplies and control expenses.
• Maintain checkout area and merchandise displays to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
