Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
2. Assisting with hiring, training, and development of store associates.
3. Performing store opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
4. Protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
5. Adhering to all policies and safety guidelines.
6. Maintaining a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
7. Maintaining store areas to company standards, including recovery.
8. Providing direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates when the Store Manager is not present.
9. Processing corporate directives and store communications.
10. Assisting with receipt and return of merchandise, including damaged goods.
11. Ensuring proper staffing and sales effectiveness daily.
12. Managing cashiering activities and cash handling practices.
13. Overseeing promotional displays and seasonal areas.
14. Coordinating store signage and merchandising.
15. Assisting with weekly scheduling, supplies, and expense control.
16. Maintaining checkout area to maximize impulse sales and refilling store displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Prior retail and management experience preferred.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
