Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
• Process all corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Oversee promotional displays and seasonal areas for sales effectiveness.
• Coordinate signage and merchandising to maximize impulse sales.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with weekly schedule creation.
• Manage store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain checkout area and store-front displays for maximum sales.
• Refill coolers and displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
