Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, employees, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, take supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all directives related to store activities, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Help ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal display effectiveness.
• Handle damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with creating weekly schedules.
• Manage store supplies and control expenses.
• Maintain merchandising and checkout areas to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and displays daily, including promotional items.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
