Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
• Assisting with hiring, training, and development of store associates.
• Performing opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhering to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintaining a professional, friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Maintaining store areas to company standards, including recovery.
• Providing direct supervision for hourly associates when the Store Manager is absent.
• Processing corporate directives and store communications.
• Assisting with receipt and return of merchandise, including DSD merchandise.
• Ensuring proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
• Managing cashiering activities and cash handling practices.
• Overseeing promotional displays and seasonal areas for sales effectiveness.
• Coordinating signage and store displays.
• Processing damaged merchandise daily.
• Assisting in creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintaining checkout area and store front displays to maximize sales.
• Refilling coolers and displays daily.

Minimum qualifications:

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
