Major Responsibilities
  1. Assist in working with and onboarding transportation partners, managing daily trips, and supporting parents and districts to meet their needs.
  2. Manage daily customer relations, including operations, new client onboarding, retention, and development.
  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with current and potential clients. Collaborate with internal teams on proposals and negotiations.
  4. Manage staff equipment and items necessary for trips, such as driver/staff badges and business cards.
  5. Monitor new legislation affecting student transportation and assist the team with implementation.
  6. Find, onboard, and develop relationships with local and national transportation providers.
  7. During school year startup, communicate and negotiate proposed routes with local service providers.
  8. Oversee account operations to ensure efficiency and maintain high customer service standards.
  9. Supervise vehicle maintenance, compliance, and manage a large pool of drivers and transportation partners.
  10. Collaborate with internal departments to generate reports and implement programs to enhance service quality, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
  11. Ensure a safe environment for passengers, contractors, and the public by adhering to policies and procedures.
  12. Follow all First Student policies and procedures while delivering excellent customer service.
  13. Apply industry skills to support and grow daily transportation operations.
  14. Learn and utilize technical skills for reporting, SOP creation, and standard practice development within FirstAlt.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management, which may include modifications or changes as needed.
Minimum Education or Certifications Required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices in the field. Ability to perform complex tasks, lead others, and make personnel decisions. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
