Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional, friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, take direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and store communications as delegated by the Store Manager.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness on the sales floor daily.
11. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
12. Coordinate signage and merchandising to maximize sales and promotional effectiveness.
13. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
14. Maintain checkout area and store displays to promote impulse sales.
15. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.
16. Assist with weekly schedule creation.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
