Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Follow all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
6. Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, supervise all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and store communications delegated by the Store Manager.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Help ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Assist in managing cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
12. Support promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
13. Manage sales effectiveness of seasonal store areas.
14. Coordinate appropriate signage in the store.
15. Assist with merchandise receipt, returns, and processing damaged items.
16. Help create weekly schedules.
17. Assist with store supplies and expense management.
18. Support merchandising and checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
19. Ensure coolers and displays are refilled daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
