Responsibilities

• Assist with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Perform all opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Ensure all areas of the store meet company standards, including recovery and maintenance of the stockroom and sales floor.
• When the Store Manager is not present, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal displays and fixtures.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist in creating weekly staff schedules.
• Manage store supplies and control expenses.
• Maintain merchandising and checkout areas to maximize impulse sales.
• Ensure coolers and displays are restocked daily with promotional items.

Minimum Requirements

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-energy team environment.
