Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors
• Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including recovery of the stockroom and sales floor
• When the Store Manager is not present, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates
• Process all corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies and procedures
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines
• Coordinate signage and manage seasonal store displays
• Process damaged merchandise daily
• Assist with weekly scheduling and store supplies management
• Maintain checkout area and maximize impulse sales through merchandising
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
